Each and every garment from Silks and Velvets is designed and individually made by Yosa Addiss, with a couple of trusted friends to help. It is a personal operation from start to finish. Every detail is done personally, including fabric selection, cutting, stitching, and finishing work. This web site is the cumulated work of years of sewing professionally, and doing business online.
The business was formed in 1992 and the online catalog was started in 1998. Silks and Velvets does not offer in person consultations. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have via email. Because we work internet based mail order, when gowns are finished they are mailed immediately, photos are posted to the web site as they are available. Thanks!
